The track in question was unique because it was based on an interview with rapper Rap-Up, many of the listeners shared their experiences through self-doubt and discovering how to be a better person. Cara's music often contains positive message about mental health, and the importance of loving oneself. Every song Cara sings comes directly from her struggle with depression, insomnia and other health issues. According to Reuters interview, she has described her album as half-tumultuous but half perfected. Her growth was aided through therapy. She encourages others when they need to reach out for assistance. Alessia Cara was born to Italian parents on July 11th, 1996. Alessia Cara's parents gave her her first guitar when she was 10. It was the beginning of her journey musically. At the age of 13 she began covering her favorite songs on YouTube a major media platform in order to demonstrate to the world that she was talented and the determination to be an artist. In fact, one of the covers Sweater Weather was able to get her attention by a record label called EP Entertainment which allowed her to create and write her tracks.
