Christopher Peter Meloni is an American actor who is well-known for his roles in popular television show 'Law and Order Special Victims Unit. Since his college days Meloni became interested in the field of acting. After that, he attended the University of Colorado at Boulder. He has appeared in both TV and films, however it was his smaller-screen roles which earned him fame and an enormous following. He is able to create characters that reflect both good and bad sides of the legal system. He can draw the attention of viewers with ease. He was the voice of a serial murderer in his first television series project but later went on to take on the role that of a NYPD detective. He's been nominated numerous times for prestigious Emmy Awards and the PRISM Awards for his tiny screen performances. It is his trademark eyelashes that are piercing and blue, which can be said to help the actor look gorgeous. They have helped to play rough characters in a charismatic manner. The actor was featured as one of People's Magazine's Sexiest Men Alive in 2006.
