Christopher Peter Meloni, an American actor, is most well-known for his role in the show on television 'Law and Order Special Victims Unit. The first time he became interested in acting was during his college years. He was a student of acting at the University of Colorado at Boulder. While he was active in TV and film but his performances on small screens have earned him a lot of popularity. He is able to play characters from both good and bad sides of the legal system. He is able capture the audiences attention easily. He played the serial killer role in his debut television show and then later played as an NYPD detective. The small screen performances of his are rewarded with numerous Emmy Awards nominations and PRISM Awards. One of his most striking facial traits is believed to be his piercing blue eyes that have been instrumental in his portrayal of characters that are rough and charismatic. People's magazine listed him as one of the Sexiest Men Alive for 2006.
